Educational Projector Solutions

July 29th, 2010

Here at Vivid Lamps, our primary focus is supplying the UK education system with high quality projection equipment. While many people may remember overhead projectors from their school days, todays projectors are sleeker, more compact, and somewhat easier to use. We stock a vast range of replacement bulbs for many models, by an impressive collection of brands.

Projectors can be extremely useful teaching aids, for presenting images, texts or even work questions to a class in a convenient way. However, if projectors are used on a regular basis within a school, then the projection lamps will burn out quickly. If this happens, then finding yourself without this valuable tool can be frustrating and inconvenient, particularly if extra paper is required to mass-produce handouts for each pupil.

When this happens, people may find themselves under the illusion that a new projector is required. If the problem is simply an exhausted bulb, then this is easily solved. At Vivid Lamps, we stock replacement projector bulbs for many brands and models, which will benefit many teachers and pupils. Whether the model you need the replacement projector bulb for is a Sony, a Kodak, a Canon or a Philips, we can help you find the right one.

The majority of our replacement projector bulbs are sent by Next Day Delivery courier, and will require a signature upon their arrival, ensuring that you will have the replacement projector bulb in no time at all. Our dedicated sales team are just a phone call away, and can provide you with a quote today.

Projector bulbs at hand when needed

July 17th, 2010

If you are using a projector for an important presentation, perhaps connected to a laptop, you will be expecting it to operate to a high standard. Your mind will already be occupied with making eye contact with your audience, speaking slowly and coherently, making sure to stick to a script or, if you are improvising, covering all of your main points. All of this is hard enough. But if theres a problem with the equipment, specifically the projector, then this will throw you off.

Of course, your audience will likely understand that technology sometimes goes wrong, and patiently wait while you get things back on track. If the problem is as simple as the projector bulb burning out, then all you need is to insert a replacement projector bulb. But this is where things can become problematic. If you or your company have had the foresight to anticipate an event like this, then there will be a replacement projector bulb somewhere.

However, if there are none, then this would leave you not only without a visual aid (which may be essential, depending on the nature of your presentation), but may have affected your concentration to the point where you cannot recover.

If you have a projector, and know the brand and model, then you can buy replacement projector bulbs from Vivid Lamps. We have assistants on call, who can help you with the replacement projector bulbs you need, and can ensure that you have replacement projector bulbs to hand whenever you need them most.

Malfunctioning Projectors

July 12th, 2010

If you have decided that you want to buy a projector, then you will likely be scouring the internet or high street, weighing up customer reviews on websites, speaking to assistants, trying to decide on the right one. With projectors being fairly expensive, complicated pieces of equipment, you may find yourself becoming overwhelmed with all of the different specs and components, when all you may want to know is how it works, and which one will better match your needs.

Of course, with such a vast range of brands and models out there, (with projectors for office use, home use, educational use), settling on the ideal one for you may take a while. And this is understandable, as, when you part with your money, you want to know that you have made the right choice. Though, depending on how often you use the projector, it is going to need a replacement lamp at some point, and it is better to have some in reach just in case.

If you find yourself watching a film, perhaps at a crucial scene or even at the climax, it would be frustrating (to say the least) if the projector lamp suddenly started to malfunction. If you have one spare, fantastic.  If not, then you will want to get a replacement projector lamp quickly. At Vivid Lamps, we stock a vast range of projector lamps at fantastic prices, with Next Working Day Courier Delivery, ensuring that you can get back to watching that film in no time.

Projector uses

July 4th, 2010

Projectors can be used for a range of different things, but their most common use is in giving presentations or lectures. Not only do they allow the speaker to show their audience images, but they can also be used to show text or films. In the education sector, they have been used for many years, and have become a familiar item in the classroom and university lecture theatre.

However, as well as educational and business purposes, projectors can also be used for domestic purposes, such as for watching movies. By hooking it up to your system, the projector will allow you to watch TV or DVDs onto a large screen or plain white or grey wall, giving you a cinematic experience in your own home. If you want to enhance this even further, then you can connect it to a surround sound system, and perhaps even purchase some new seats which resemble those found at your local cinema.

Of course, if you are using it primarily for TV, and you tend to watch for hours on end, then you will need to be ready to replace the projector bulbs more often than if you just watched a few DVDs per week. Finding the right replacement projector bulbs can be difficult, but Vivid Lamps provide a wide range of projector bulbs, from Yamaha to Kodak, which can revitalise your projector and return you to the home cinema experience you have grown to love. Replacing projector bulbs can seem like a daunting task, but Vivid Lamps can help.

Why that projector has broken

June 21st, 2010

During a presentation, there’s nothing scarier than having a projector malfunction halfway through; luckily, projectors usually go wrong in the same way. Therefore, with a brief knowledge of what is likely to go wrong in a projector, you are well on your way to having it up and running again.

There is a whole host of things which could go wrong with a projector. However, each crisis has its own tell-tale sign, which makes identifying (and therefore solving) it so much easier – as long as you have the tools, replacement parts and a little bit of know how.

Obviously, complete burnout of a projector lamp is a pretty immediate problem – and the likely cause of this will be a blown lamp. Luckily, this critical malfunction is fairly easily replaced, and involves removing the exterior of the lamp housing, and fitting a new lamp.

Some problems with projector lamps are not so obvious – and over time, you may notice a level of dimming. It is likely that this is symptomatic of a degradation in the lamp, which will only get worse over time, if not ceasing to function altogether.

With this in mind, it is often a good idea to have, for example, spare sony replacement projector bulbs, or NEC replacement projector lamps, which means that as soon as your projector starts to dim, it can be restored to its former glory.

At Vivid Laps, we’ve got NEC replacement projector lamps and Sony replacement projector lamps, all at great prices.

Repairing a projector quickly

June 16th, 2010

Unfortunately, when a projector goes wrong, it usually means a complete loss of picture; however, more often than not, a broken projector is just a matter of a malfunctioning lamp or bulb, which is easily replaced – especially if you have a spare to hand.

One of the things that could go wrong with, for example, a sanyo lcd projector lamp, is lamp burnout, which will mean a complete malfunction of the projector and loss of image. Luckily, repairing this critical issue could just be a matter of replaceing the item (perhaps a canon lcd projector lamp) – which can involve nothing more than a screwdriver.

Like all bulbs, whilst projector lamps last longer than they have before , they are still more likely to go wrong the older they are. Therefore, being able to repair a projector quickly may be a skill that can could come in very handy.

Of course, there’s no point in knowing how to replace, for example, an epson lcd projector lamp, if you don’t have a replacement projector bulb to hand and therefore keeping a spare is a good idea – remember it is likely that you will have to replace a projector bulb one day, so why now have the replacement in advance?

Even if you don’t have a spare, by ordering an item like hitachi projector bulbs from Vivid Lamps, you can be guaranteed that it will be dispatched next working day, and with you in no time.

At Vivid Lamps, we are a proud supplier of the education sector – it is in this kind of context that epson replacement projector bulbs and epson replacement projector lamps could be so helpful. As projectors are central to how we give presentations in the modern day, they have become objects of great trepidation for presentation givers across the land. This is with good reason, as even though projectors are far more reliable than they have ever been, they are still pieces of technology, and are therefore susceptible to going wrong.

Therefore, with a view to easing this burden of worry, it is a good idea to have a spare set of projector bulbs, which will ensure that even if something does go wrong, it can be repaired relatively easy.

So, where do you get projector spares? At Vivid Lamps, we’ve got Nec projector bulbs and boxlight projector bulbs – almost every brand of prjector bulb that you could possibly need.
