Projectors now are more reliable than ever and benefit from longer lasting projector bulbs and altogether “sturdier” construction values. However, as delicately tuned pieces of technology, they are not altogether impervious to “malfunction” and in fact there are quite a few things that could go wrong with this technology.
One of the most disastrous events – and especially pertinent if your projector is wall or ceiling mounted – is that your projector will come loose from its standing, and ultimately break. This inevitably leads to the need for replacement projector bulbs, if not a complete replacement of the system. With this in mind, it is essential that you don’t scrimp on the wall or ceiling fittings and that you check on an occasional basis whether or not the equipment is secure.
One of the most ubiquitous issues regarding projectors is to do with projector lamps or bulbs, and therefore if something does go wrong it is likely to be this – which in itself is a good case for have spare replacement projector bulbs at hand. Specifically, your projector could experience sudden “burnout” of a bulb, which will often come with sudden onset, or your lamp could exhibit a level of “dimming” over time. Either way, a replacement projector lamp is in order.
Additionally, in order to prevent subtle degradation of the image quality as well as potential serious malfunction, you should ensure that your projector is kept fairly clean. This will involve a superficial wipe with a soft cloth once in a while, as well as an occasional thorough clean of the lamp assembly.
At Vivid Lamps we have a wide range of branded projector equipment to suit an array of projectors. Whether you’re in need of replacement Sanyo projector bulbs or Philips projector lamps, we’ve got it covered.
